We would like to welcome all new and current members of the club on our first weekend trip of the year to Loch Lochy. Loch Lochy is a perfect base for climbing many of the local Munros with remote areas such as Loch Quoich only a short drive away. We will be staying in the Great Glen Hostel and will depart from Edinburgh at approximately 5.00pm on Friday 4th October, returning on Sunday 6th October at approximately 9pm. Proper walking gear is essential for this trip. NO JEANS, TRAINERS, TIMBERLANDS etc. Sign up will be at 8.30pm in Appleton Tower Concourse on Tue 1st October.

Please note that although this is called a Freshers Weekend Trip it is not exclusively for Freshers – all members are welcome to come!

Please email edkerr@btinternet.com if you can drive/walk organise.

  1. I was thinking Gairich on the south side of Loch Quoich for Saturday or if the weather was good the Ring of Steal.
Sunday could be Ben Tee, the Corbett behind the hostel, or the two Munroe west of Loch Treig, or the two corbetts between those and the grey corries. Lots of options.

How many cars did we get in the end? Will we be limited by transport?
