Skye end of year trip

Date:
28 May 2010 - 31 May 2010
Meet Organisers:
Roy, Alistair & Sarah Collins

This is it guys. The last trip of the year. The final trip, to the ultimate location. Hold onto your boots, its time for our trip to SKYE!!

***Please note, the vast majority of walk organisers, if not all walk organisers, will be attempting routes that involve scrambling if the weather is good. Therefore if you are not prepared to do any kind of scrambling, take this into serious consideration before signing up for the trip. You can of course make your own plans on Skye, but options will be transport limited given our location.

We do not mean to put anyone off coming on the trip, we just want to make sure everyone is aware of the situation on Skye.

Trip Summary
The trip will run from Friday 28th May till 31st May.
The cost of the trip will be £55.
The sign up for the trip will be on Tuesday, 25th May in Doctors as usual. Sign up will start at 8.30pm. Please remember there will be no new members taken at the sign up.

If you are unable to make the sign up, and require a friend to sign you up instead, please email Roy (wooll3y@hotmail.co.uk) to get permission to do this. You cannot sign up a friend without first getting permission.

Change from the Norm
We will be asking people whether people would like to leave earlier on the Friday to make the driving (and getting out of Edinburgh) that little bit more reasonable and so you will arrive on Skye at a more respectable time. Please have a think about when you will be able to leave Edinburgh on the Friday prior to signing up.

Location
We will be staying at the Glen Brittle Youth Hostel. Its a fantastic location, right at the feet of the mighty Cuillin of Skye. These are incredibly dramatic mountains, which will require a fair bit of scrambling to conquer. See http://www.syha.org.uk/hostels/islands/glenbrittle.aspx for more hostel details.

Walks can be discussed on the forum as usual.

Cheers guys, please get in touch if you have any further questions!
