Achnashellach Easter Trip

Date:
9 April 2010 - 12 April 2010
Meet Organisers:
Sarah Collins
We are going back to Gerry's Hostel again (http://www.gerryshostel-achnashellach.co.uk/index.asp). It really is worth going just for the experience of staying with Gerry. The hostel is located in the heart of the North West Highlands which is considered to be one of the last wilderness regions in Europe. With access to Glen Carron and Torridon there are loads of Munro's to choose from, whether you want to go up the mighty Liathach or the gentler slopes of the south Glen Carron mountains. Gerry's Hostel has a lot of character and is the only place we've been where you can sit next to an open fire whilst listening to a gramophone, so if you have any LP records then feel free to bring them along, Gerry's taste in music is really not that great. You will need to bring your own sleeping bag or sheets.

The signup will take place on Tuesday 6th April in the pub Doctors at 8.30 pm. The cost of the trip will be £55 (including food on Saturday and Sunday night and milk for those who want it). Please bring money with you when you sign up (cheques preferable) and your membership card. If you are not in Edinburgh and want a friend to sign you up, you need to e-mail me sarah_collins16@hotmail.co.uk by 6pm on Monday. Alternatively (but it is a more risky strategy) you can e-mail by 6pm on Monday saying you want to go on the trip and I can add you to a list of people who will get on the trip if it doesn't fill.

We have enough minibus drivers but we still need car drivers. If you have a car and want to drive or could drive a hire car please e-mail Erik erikmackie@hotmail.com by 4pm on Monday but preferably as soon as possible. Drivers will get the usual £10 discount.
