Roger Wild's winter safety talk

Date:
11 November 2008
Meet Organisers:

Roger Wild from the Mountaineering Council of Scotland will present a talk about 'Safety Aspects of Winter Walking'. He will be giving an extremely informative and entertaining presentation on all aspects of winter walking.

I hope you can all make it as walking in winter is very different to what we've done so far this year. For most of the year there is snow on the Scottish hills (there was last week and perhaps you've gotten some in Glen Nevis this weekend). It's vitally important that you know how to take care of yourselves. Winter trips can be amazing (just look at the pictures on the website or facebook), but you need to be aware of the difficulties and dangers of winter walking in order to make the most of it.

The talk is taking place at 7.30pm in Appleton Tower LT1 (please be on time). It is free and open to anyone so bring your friends!

After the talk we will be heading to Teviot Library Bar for a social night out.
