Committee
President
- Erik Mackie
Erik is this year's club president. It is his job to chair meetings, delegate tasks and to ensure that everything runs smoothly throughout the year and everything is organised on time. If you have a general enquiry about the club then please get in touch with him and he will be able to do something about it!
Secretary
Sarah Collins
As secretary Sarah is in charge of the club's administration. This includes liaising with the Sports Union, other university bodies and the MCofS, record-keeping, and making essential bookings.
Treasurer

Karolina is in charge of the club's budget, claiming grants, signing cheques and sending accounts to the Sports Union. Please help her out by making sure that you pay up for things promptly, by cheque if at all possible, and please give receipts for any expenses claims!
Vice President
Alex Tuck
As Vice President, Alex supports Erik and the other key members of the committee, providing help and advice as needed. As President of the club the previous year he has a wealth of knowledge to share.
Meets Secretary

Donald is responsible for pre-booking the accommodation and transport for club trips, and passing bookings on to the Meet Organisers for each trip. If you are able to volunteer as a minibus driver, please get in touch with him!
Training & Safety Officer
Claire Smith
Claire arranges the clubs navigation and skills courses at the University's Firbush outdoor centre, as well as coordinating the Mountain Leader training programme. She also arranges safety talks which all members should attend.

Fiona and Fran have the vital task of making sure all members have a good time when they're not on the hill. They organise EUHWC's many social events throughout the year, including ceilidhs, pub crawls and meals out, as well as our regular Tuesday night pub meets, where they can generally be seen leading the drinking!
Publicity and Yearbook Officer

Maria sorts out club leaflets and posters for our various events, as well as publicising EUHWC more widely across the university. She also has the enviable job of producing the club's yearbook, but she isn't expected to write every word of it herself so please send all your trip reports, photos and tales of drunkenness in to her, the sooner the better!
Gear Secretary
Alistair Black
Alistair keeps track of all the club's equipment, and makes sure our gear store at the Pleasance is in order. He makes sure that trips are supplied with maps, first aid kits etc, plus crampons and ice axes in winter. If you need to borrow any club equipment for a trip, such as waterproof trousers or jackets, the club has a limited number, so email him well in advance to book one.
Webmaster
James Fathers
James is responsible for keeping the club's website up to date, and for managing the club's email lists. If you experience problems with either, or you think that anything should be updated or changed then please get in touch with him.
