[hillwalkers] Weekly Email: Torridon End-of-year Trip

Hello hillwalkers, short but exciting one this week. So without further ado…

TORRIDON END-OF-YEAR TRIP – WOOHOO! (Long Weekend 22nd – 25th May)

It’s once again time for the end of year trip, and we’re heading for the mountains of Torridon on the 22-25th May. We’ll be staying in the SYHA hostel, it’s got a particularly nice view. There are several of the best mountains in Scotland within walking distance of the hostel including Liathach and Beinn Alligin. As this is a 3 day trip it will cost a bit more than normal (£60) but we hope that doesn’t put anyone off. Sign up will be at 8:30pm on Tuesday 19th May in McSorelys. If you can’t make it to sign up you can get a friend to sign you up, but please let Simon ( know in advance.

Club Surveys

If you haven’t already done so, please fill in the surveys linked below. They have a big impact on the Sports Union’s evaluation of us as a club, and may affect our funding next year!

Hogmanay 2013-2014

Alex Mead is organising an “unofficial” trip to Knoydart for this coming New Year. If you’d like to come, or want more information please use the comments below. The original forum thread from the old website where we were discussing the trip can be found here.

Please note that this is not a club trip – just a trip amongst friends who’ve got to know each other through the club. But anyone is welcome to come!
